Refund & Cancellation Policy

Learn about the Withdrawal and Admission Cancellation Policy at International Generation School, which regulates enrollment termination procedures, clarifies approved force majeure cases, outlines tuition fee refund conditions, and details the mechanism for transferring academic records to ensure the rights of all parties.

I. Preamble and Reference

Student registration at International Generation School Online constitutes a contractual commitment to complete the entire academic year.

Introduction: Student registration at International Generation School Online constitutes a contractual commitment to complete the entire academic year. Registration fees, admission fees, and any financial matters paid by the guardian are non-refundable, except as stipulated in this document regarding approved and documented force majeure cases, in accordance with this document or international norms. Refund percentages for registration fees will only be as agreed upon in this document. A student's departure, withdrawal, or absence does not exempt them from completing tuition installments until the end of the academic year. The staggered installments are a means to facilitate the agreed-upon annual amount, not a subscription, and their cessation is not permitted under any circumstances except with the school's approval after fulfilling the necessary requirements.
This policy defines the regulatory framework for withdrawal and admission cancellation requests, aiming to:
Ensure continuity of education and protect students' academic progress
Safeguard the rights of the institution and families with transparency and fairness
Provide a clear and applicable pathway in force majeure cases

II. Voluntary Withdrawal — Conditions and Procedures

1. Principle of Contractual Commitment

Upon registration, the guardian acknowledges that their commitment covers the entire academic year. A withdrawal request will only be accepted if it meets both of the following conditions:
Submission of a formal written request via the online portal, signed by the guardian
Submission of a convincing, documented case falling under the approved circumstances stipulated in paragraph (1-2)

Important Notice

Withdrawal is not effective merely upon submission of the request.
Withdrawal becomes effective only after written approval is issued by the Academic Administration.
Any cessation of attendance without official approval will hinder the student's educational progress and does not constitute a withdrawal, while subjecting the family to full financial obligations.

2. Approved Force Majeure Cases

Withdrawal will only be accepted if the guardian proves the applicability of one of the following cases:

Required Document

Case

Official medical report documented by an accredited health authority

Serious illness of the student or the guardian responsible for direct follow-up

Official document (death certificate or equivalent)

Death of the guardian responsible for direct follow-up

Approved Academic Administration report

School's failure to provide the agreed-upon primary educational service

The Academic Administration reserves the right to request additional documents to verify the validity of the submitted justification.

Procedural Guarantees upon Cancellation:

The guardian has the right to appeal within 10 business days from the date of notification
The student will not be suspended from studies during the appeal review, except in cases of forgery

IV. Fee Policy upon Withdrawal or Cancellation

1. Registration Fees

The registration fee of $150 is non-refundable under any circumstances, as it represents compensation for actual administrative costs of processing the application and allocating a study seat. The guardian explicitly acknowledges this condition upon completing registration.

In accepted withdrawal cases (documented force majeure cases), the following refund percentages apply to paid tuition fees:

Electronically transferring the academic record to the receiving school upon request
Retaining an archival copy of the student's record for 7 years as per institutional accreditation requirements

VI. Appeal Procedure

The guardian has the right to appeal a decision to reject a withdrawal request or an admission cancellation decision as follows:
The appeal must be submitted in writing via the online portal within 10 business days from the date of notification of the decision
A review committee will be formed, consisting of the General Manager and two members not involved in the original decision
The committee will review the documents and hear from the guardian if requested
The committee's decision will be issued within 10 business days and will be final and binding on both parties
